At the core, Double-Take Availability uses patented, platform independent replication technology to capture changes at the byte level and replicate them in real time between any server hardware, storage, OS version or hypervisor – whether those servers are physical, virtual or in the cloud.

In the event of a planned or unplanned outage, administrators can manually or automatically failover users to the secondary server in minutes or seconds. Recovery can be done with the most current data or with a point-in-time snapshot. When it’s time to restore to a new or repaired production server, failback is just as fast and easy.
